Hi Friends, Welcome to Cooking with Sumathy Thurai! Sri Lanka is an island southeast of India, and as such, its cuisine consists of a variety of delicious dishes. I will try to give several Sri Lankan style recipes on this channel. Today, I have made typical Sri Lankan vegetarian lunch.
Ingredients: → For Banana flower stir fry:
★ Banana flower- 1
★ Cumin seeds- 2 Tsp
★ Onion- 2
★ Chilly flakes- 1 Tsp
★ Turmeric powder- 1 Tsp
★ Curry powder-1/2 Tsp
★ Salt- To taste
★ Sesame oil- 2 Tbsp
★ Coconut (scrapped)- 1 Handful
→ For brinjal sambal:
★ Brinjal- 10 pieces
★ Onion- 2
★ Green chilly-
★ Curd- 3 Tbsp
★ Salt- To taste
★ Lime juice (optional)- 1/2
★ Oil for deep frying- coconut oil
→ For bhindi fry curry (gravy):
★ Ladies finger- 300g
★ Mustard seeds- 1Tsp
★ Chopped garlic & ginger- Both 2 Tbsp
★ Onion- 3
★ Tomato- 3
★ Curry powder= 2 Tsp
★ Salt- To taste
★ Masala powder- 2 Tsp
→ For Bhindi fry:
★ Ladies finger- 250g
★ Chilly powder- 1 Tsp
★ Salt- To taste
★ Corn flour- 2 Tsp
★ Rice flour- 2 Tsp
